Finding Kohana Primer for PHP

I am going to first create a PHP site using the framework, and after some research here and there, I decided to try using Kohana

I downloaded the source from my website and ran the downloaded material on my web server, and then was greeted with β€œWelcome to Cohan!”. pages, and nothing more ...

I tried to find some beginner's tutorials on the Internet regarding this particular structure, but to my surprise I came up with almost nothing (just this one , but that doesn't help much)

I am not new to PHP and I am not familiar with the concept of MVC either, but I am very new to PHP Frameworks ... so can someone point me to a Kohana tutorial somewhere on the Internet that will help me start by building my site with using this framework from scratch?

PS As I said, I want a primer to review this case.

[UPDATE]

I am currently reading the Official Guide ... we will see how this happens.

The Kohana Tutorial pages are pants. Not so much for their content, but because they have a pretty damn disorganized Wordpress blog and finding useful information is not entirely easy. What they need is a post / page at http://learn.kohanaphp.com that lists the most important lessons, rather than forcing you to sneak through the entire blog.

In any case, recall, I would start here:

http://zacklive.com/hello-world-tutorial-for-kohana/15/

Then:

http://learn.kohanaphp.com/2008/03/28/blog-tutorial-part-2/

And, of course, Google.

I had the same problem! After several searches, I found Kohaha101.pdf. This guide / tutorial really got me started!

Since it is all the same:

If you are looking for Kohana 3 beginner's tutorials, the ones listed at the bottom of the unreasonable Wiki are pretty good.

Learning Kohana is pain. There is some information, but it is everywhere, and Google is your best ally. The support forums are pretty good, but this is a very important foundation for PHP developers. It covers all the major flaws of PHP and provides a clean MVC design pattern, but nothing more.

The advantage of this minimal approach is that it is lightning fast and fast. When something does not work, you will find it necessary to go through the libraries, as it is sometimes easier to understand which methods / properties are available or how they work by looking at the base code. It would be nice if someone donated money and that the team pumped it into the proper documentation, since this is the achilles heel of the entire project.

I just wanted to tell everyone that Kohana 101 was ported to the wiki, and it (and will be) updated with the current stable versions of the Kohana structure.

You can find it here.

I agree. I assume that from the moment of transition from 2.x to 3.x the documents should be improved. Anyway, I skipped the basics and put up a blog article on how to get started quickly:

http://voloreport.com/learn-kohana-mvc-php-in-under-an-hour1

The first part that I wrote begins with a discussion of what MVC is and why Kohana. In Part 2, I continue to explain how to install and use Kohana.
