Android SIP Client

What is the best way to run a SIP client for Android using any external libraries. Since the built-in built-in SIP libraries work only with versions exceeding 2.3.1. Look at the best and simplified solution for building a SIP client for lower versions of android. Can anyone help with this ...

To start the implementation of the SIP client, you will need a third-party SIP implementation package. Check out this thread for a list of sip implementation stacks.

What to search:

  • Evaluate the features you need and the features offered by the sip-stack package (they differ mainly in the supported codecs for audio / video and support for audio / video conferencing of the conference).
  • pay attention to the latest release date for the implementation of the sip stack package. Often, "latest release dates" mean better support and better features.

You will also see the popular open source software products that use these SipStacks, which means that the source code is there, and you can see how they integrate with trays.

I used IMSDroid , which works with WiFi, EDGE and GPRS. But the apk file is about 15-20 MB.
