How to connect the Visual Studio 2015 Android emulator to the network?

I recently installed VS 2015 RC, and the Android emulator seems to work fine (it's very fast :)), except that it cannot connect to the network. According to http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudioalm/archive/2015/04/29/visual-studio-emulator-for-android-in-vs2015-rc.aspx , the emulator should be able to connect to my WiFi- the map. I took a look at the emulator in the Hyper-V admin interface and it is configured the same way as the Windows Phone Emulator, which works just fine. Any ideas?

Thanks guys for the ideas. I uninstalled the Xamarin Android player and Genymotion, and now the VS emulator is working!

I had the same problem when RC tools were installed on a PC with Genymotion previously installed, so I disabled VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapters (which was used by Genymotion) and restarted the emulator, then the network to the emulator worked

First, try disabling any virtual Ethernet adapters that are not in use (for example, those used in Virtual Box). Then go to Hyper-V Manager and remove all virtual switches, and then restart the emulator.

My environment is nested virtualization as follows:

Physical machine (WinServer2016)VM (WinServer2016)VS emulator for Android

The only thing that worked for me was to run the following command on a physical machine:

Set-VMNetworkAdapter -VMName $vmName -MacAddressSpoofing on

Where $vmName is the name of the WinServer2016 virtual machine.

for my 5.2 "Marshmallow (6.0.0) (android 6.0 - API 23) in VS 2017, after connecting Wi-Fi and answering the question about connecting the emulator to the network, I got my virtual eth2 wifi, which is visible as Wi-Fi when you slide the top toolbar that you usually see if your networks are connected or not.

but in my previous attempts this icon shows an exclamation mark and next to it there is no internet , after restarting and restarting the emulator it works

Other useful points are the network settings, which my Hyper-V vEthernet has the following name and notes that when connected, it shows Internet access with the status AndroidAPs7, which is the name of the WiFi connection, and my main Wi-Fi shows only the bridging .
