Android FragmentBreadCrumbs deprecated? What for?

I have a question about creating crackers in an Android app. The class android.app.FragmentBreadCrumbs is deprecated at API level 21. I cannot find another way to implement patches in an Android application.

Does anyone know of another method?

Also, if anyone knows why the android.app.FragmentBreadCrumbs class is deprecated, this might be useful. Is it that the use of the palette scheme for Android applications is discouraged (maybe because they can become quite long)?

Any answers or opinions on this matter will be appreciated. Thanks

You can look at the source code on FragmentBreadCrumbs and use it to either roll your own, or at least with a fork and save your own copy of them. Outside of processing XML layout attributes (always a pain ...) I do not see anything obvious that can only work within the framework due to access to materials that are not in the Android SDK.

At the end of the day, it's just a custom View that lets you navigate the BackStackEntry chain.

why the class android.app.FragmentBreadCrumbs is deprecated

Perhaps this did not match the design of the materials. And you are the first person I have ever heard of using it.

In the Google driver for the tablet (material design) I see a breading.
