Does Microsoft Application Insights support MVC 6 (.Net 5)

I am trying to set up a prototype using an mvc 6 project and applications. When choosing to monitor the mvc 6 website in IIS 7, it says that it controls, but server statistics are not sent to Azure. When I control any other sites on this server, it works correctly. So my question is, does support for .Net 5 and MVC 6 applications in IIS?

On the website, I installed Application Insights using the javascript snippet provided by Microsoft Application Insights. This works correctly and sends data to Azure.

The website is located on a local Windows 2012 server. I installed the Insight Status Monitor on the server and I pointed to the mvc 6 website. This part does not work. When I point the Server Tool to a site on the local server where the .Net 4.5 website is running, it passes Azure data correctly.

I did not add the AI part through the nuget package, because I am not sending any custom alerts for Insight applications. Now I just want to get server statistics. IE memory, CPU usage, etc.
