Sony SmartWatch 2 user watch broken since firmware update

Question

Background

I have an application on Google Play ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.epix.smartextension.watchfaces ) that provides custom watch faces for Sony SmartWatch 2. It was there in the store about a year and succeeded.

Problem

Sony recently released a firmware update for SW2. After this update, he brought some useful features. But along with this, serious errors appeared. The main problem was that she did the third (including the mine) pointlessly. That is, after this update, custom dials began to show the wrong time, date, etc.

What i tried

I double-checked my code with the latest documentation and sample code from Sony. I am sure that the problem is not in my code, since it has been working fine all these months before updating the firmware. In addition, I could not find any official information about whether there are any new changes in the Face Face API or something like that. I also contacted Sony developer support via email. They assured that the problem was reported to their team and instructed me to post a request for the same here in stackoverflow. Therefore, I am posting this.

• Does anyone know of any changes to Face Face APIs with the latest firmware?
• Does anyone know if Sony took this as an error in the latest firmware?

Any information in this regard will help a lot. My app recently started getting bad reviews in the store, and it's hard for him to convince users of a problem.

We just released an update today to fix this problem. I really tried your application after the update and it gives the correct time. Give the update a try and let me know if you still have problems.

Unfortunately, I can only answer the first question. I was working with an analog clock screen, and I found that the minutes hand worked fine, but the hour hand was consistently wrong. In addition, I found that the reason is that the hour hand starts at 12:00 from the moment it is downloaded and continues from there. For example, if you downloaded the watch face at 3:15, the time on the watch face will be 12:15. Therefore, the workaround that I could find for my personal use was to start hour work in the position in which I wanted it. IE, instead of starting the clockwise image at 12:00, I started it at 7:00 and downloaded .apk to my device at 7:00.

I understand that this is not very useful for your application on the Play Store, but I hope it was useful in some way. I hope this will be fixed soon!
