Hide view after another view in Android

I am trying to get an idea of ​​"sliding behind" another view. Consider, for example, a set of cards: if I put card A behind card B, card A is still there, but it is blocked because card B has an upper or external card A.

I know setInvisibilty () well, but this is not the effect I'm looking for.

I have an animation that animates the look of Google-Now-card-like on the screen. The map goes over the text that appears in front of the map (whereas I want the map to slide over the text) during the animation. I have an alpha animation on the text, which does not help, since it is already quite strong by the time the card passes.

Any answer to the above problem or suggestions for a different method is greatly appreciated.
