Set the Autosize property of your shortcut to False, and then Dock Top Label, Bottom, or Fill, or drag it to the full width of the form and set Anchor both left and right. Then set TextAlign to MiddleCenter.
The Anchor property is pretty elegant because it basically ties the border of the control to the corresponding side of the form.
Thus, in our case, the left side of the control sticks to the left side of the form, and the right side adheres to the right side of the form.
Therefore, if the shape changes, it moves the left and right parts of the control. Together with TextAlign this always keeps the text in the center.
For this to work, the Autosize tag functionality must be disabled.
An alternative way would be to keep Autosize enabled, center the form on the control, and then turn off both left and right Anchor . This would also hold back the mark, since now it no longer adheres to either side, but retains its relative position.
So: let management do your work.
