Does Instagram API support batch calls?

Question

I need to make two api calls to get followers counts. So, at a speed of 5000 per hour, I can get 2500 counters per hour! Thus, it takes about 10 hours to get 20,000 counters. Both Facebook and Twitter APIs support batch calls. So, I was wondering if Instagram supports batch calls? Looking at the instagram documentation, I don't see a clue about dosing!

restrictions are separate for authenticated requests and unauthenticated requests. For authenticated requests, there are user restrictions, so if you have 20 users registered in your application, you multiply them by 20, etc.
