How do I add a watch to my Chrome Developer Tools?

I can’t find a way to add the clock expression for the selected JavaScript text in the Chrome developer tools, just like in Firebug with Ctrl + W. Is there really no way to do this in Chrome? I can’t even right-click on the selected item because it deselects as soon as I do this and there is no “Add Watch” context menu item. Do I really have to enter all the hours I want to add during JS debugging?

According to Chrome DevTool Docs - view variables in sources , you can do this in one of 3 ways:

  • Select the text, right-click and select " Add selected text to the watch ."
    • Note: previously it was Add to View
  • Select the text and press Ctrl + Shift + A
  • Add from the clock panel directly in the upper right corner of the sources tab
