IOS Simulator display incorrectly displayed

I returned to the X-code after several months of break. At the time when the x-code was not used, it was updated.

Now, when I run the iOS simulator, the display does not scale properly. I worked at home with an external 1920x1080 monitor, and the simulator works correctly. However, when I run the simulator on my Retina display, it looks like the image below.

Ive tried to reset the simulator and settings, uninstall and reinstall the x-code. and a few more things, but the display still scales to a 1920x1080 screen, and I don’t know how to change this to display Retina again.

Any ideas?

Another way to fix this problem (temporarily) is for the simulator to open in "Low Resolution" .

How to open a low-resolution simulator:

  • Open the simulator from inside Xcode
  • Right-click the simulator in the dock and choose Options> Show In Finder.
  • Right-click the simulator in Finder and select Get Info.
  • Check open low resolution
  • Close simulator
  • Reopen the simulator from Xcode

I have a temporary fix for this OS X error.

I have this error at work, but not at home, so I thought it was a switching problem, depending, possibly, on different Internet connections (so stupid solution, anyway) :)

In the Apple forum, someone mentioned the "external monitor" , and at that moment I told myself EUREKA , we have a fix, but temporary for this error:

Sometimes things that change your display profile cannot change it, i.e. stream or screen. Your permission may seem the same, but it is not. I only noticed bc that rendering the fonts seemed a bit fluffy to me. Go to System Preferences> Display and Re-Select the Desired Resolution. This is probably not the answer in most cases, but it helped me this time.
