Clearing ClearCase to Git

We are working on converting our CC Vobs to GIT, we have both basic and UCM voids, I have seen many topics without clear steps.

Is there any tool or steps that may contain history and branches?

No, there is no ClearCase for the Git bridge, converter, or adapter that I know of (keeping the whole story, with all its events).

The best thing:

  • restrict the Git repository to the UCM component (while the VOB may contain several components and be too large to handle the Git repository)
  • add only the last few baselines of component data to the Git repository (see " Equivalent to baseline and cleanup operations in a Git cell? ")
  • keep ClearCase read-only for history archive.
