SSIS Data Stream Elements and the "SSIS Contol Stream Elements" tab are missing in Visual Studio 2013 from the "Select Tools" Items_

I have installed VS 2013 and successfully installed "Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools - Business Intelligence for Visual Studio 2013"

All BI project templates are in order, all toolbar items are in order. I can also create a new Integration Services project, and the toolbar correctly displays all SSIS elements from the elements.

.

All OK, BI seems to installed

.

However, when I try to add a new custom toolbar item and select "Tools / Select Toolbar Items", there are no "SSIS Data Flow Elements" and "SSIS Flow Counters" elements in the dialog box.

.

Tabs are missing

.

Due to the lack of tabs, I cannot add a custom component to the SSIS Data Flow Data tab. The following graphic from the tutorial shows what I expect to see:

enter image description here

I believe the missing tabs are a sign that something went wrong, but don't insist on seeing the tabs if there is an alternative way to add a custom component to the SSIS data stream toolbar. But the most relaxing would be if the tabs appeared ...

Btw I have two machines with the same symptoms: 2012 server and Win 7 window.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

One of the complaints of the custom component developers for SSIS was that installing their product (in the GAC and Program Files) still required adding them manually, as the last screenshot shows.

2012+ no longer has this requirement. Instead, because the DLL is correctly built for this particular version of SSIS, "it will simply display" TM

I cannot find blog links, but there have been reports of a change

"It just works" already stated
