Gnuplot on Mac OS X 10.9 - X11 - Interaction with X11 Terminal and Mouse

I installed Gnuplot version 4.6.6 on my MacBook with Mac OS X 10.9.5. For the X11 terminal, I am using XQuartz 2.7.7.

Everything works fine, except that mouse functions, like scaling, do not work. The X11 terminal recognizes the mouse, because the coordinates are updated when I move the mouse in the window, but I can not scale with the right click. On my previous Mac (OS X 10.6.8), the mouse worked just fine ... any hint?

I found a problem: Gnuplot expects a right click with the mouse, but the default settings for the trackpad assume "Secondary click", tapping with two fingers.

You can save this setting and simply change the XQuartz settings: X11 ---> Settings ---> input, then the flag “Emulate three mouse buttons”. Thus, holding an option or command while clicking on the trackpad, the click is interpreted as a right-click, which allows you to scale.

You can “right-click” by touching the pad with two fingers and tapping (that is, tapping). In this situation, you need to click on the track, not just touch.

You can also double-tap with two fingers while holding two fingers on the pad after the second touch, until the cursor changes shape, and then lift two fingers from the pad. This action blocks the track on the secondary click. Then you can use one finger to drag and draw the zoom window. Once you are happy, tap once with one finger.
