Android removes localization

My application on the Play Store does not have any localization except the standard one: English (USA). This time I created a new apk to update it. And it uses the android-support-v7-appcompat library. Therefore, when I downloaded the new apk and apk in detail, it says: "72 new localizations added." They come from the value folders in android-support-v7-appcompat (values-af, values-am, ... etc.).

Is this normal or not, how to remove localization? My application has only one values folder, and I do not want to add localizations.

Do not worry about this: the message is visible only to you as a developer and is not visible to anyone. The only key you would support in another language is if you translated your list of Google Play stores . AppCompat strings are used solely to describe the content used for accessibility systems such as Talkback so that they are not visible to the vast majority of users of your application.

In build.gradle add resConfigs to restrict languages:

android { defaultConfig { // other configuration here resConfigs "en" } }
