I accidentally deleted a very important zip file through NetBeans

I was working on my NetBeans and I accidentally deleted the zip folder that was on my desktop ... it is very important that through netbeans on the left side of netbeans you can see all your projects, and one of my projects was on my desktop mac I selected it, and then I opened the source file that selected this zip file and click on the “Delete” button on my keyboard, it asked me if I want to delete, I said “yes” ... although it was only going to be deleted in NetBeans table, not included all my computer source ... it didn’t even go to the trash ... I assume that if this happens, I should have a way to return this file ... as if it moved to another fold or something something else ... please you must help me

In NetBeans, select (highlight) the project containing the ZIP file. In the "Versioning" section, select "Local History" → "Undo Delete". See if your ZIP file is returned. If not, you're probably out of luck.

Versioning and backup are your friends.

Do not panic. It is very easy. Follow these steps:

  • Right-click the folder / directory in which the files were deleted.

  • Choose Local History - Restore Deleted

  • Done

In Netbeans, there is also a History-> Revert Deleted option.

eg. right-click the object in the tree that the remote object belongs to and select the above menu item.

Saving history is set in the "Tools-> Options" menu on the "Miscellaneous" tab and in the "Versions" systems in the left pane. I think the default retention time is 7 days.

Eclipse and Idea have a local history recovery mechanism, including deleted files. Netbeans seems like . Hope this helps.

You can recover a deleted file using the Refactor-> Undo option.

No. he wiped it. you can install some file recovery software and return it as soon as possible (just “google file recovery” and you’ll get a million tools)
