I know that this question is a little "dubious" because it does not have a specific and accurate answer, but before you downvote, I ask you to see the meaning of the question itself . Many SO users have encountered this problem, and someone may find a solution or ways to minimize the problems that arise.
When the .suo file gets corrupted, it becomes a headache:
- Intellisense stops working
- When re-opening proyect / solution, it does not remember open files
- Some strange old settings that you, although they were turned off, reappear (in my case, the old debug configuration, which I deleted a week ago again)
The only solution I found was to close VS, delete the .suo file and let VS create it again, but still it will make you suddenly stop working on what you are doing, close and reopen everything, and set up the view as you if you would stop ...
Once it gets damaged, it becomes clear that you need to remove it, many messages show it, but I ask if anyone has found what can be done before this happens.
What did you do to make the .suo file corrupt or reduce the likelihood of its occurrence?
Note: I am using VS'12, but found that VS'10 users also encountered this problem, which is the reason for the double tag
