I switched from Grails 2.2.4 to Grails 2.4.3 and ran into bad problems with my IntelliJ IDEA 13.1.4 IDE.
After creating a clean Grails 2.4.3 project and adding a clean controller class, I start the project through the "run-app" in IntelliJ IDEA. Subsequently, I change something in the controller, and get the following exceptions:

I did some research and found out that I need to disable branch mode because IDEA has problems with this. Therefore, I disabled this function in BuildConfig.groovy with the option grails.project.fork = false .
Now I can not start the application through the "run-app" due to the following exceptions:
