Video no longer plays offline in iOS 8 WebbApp, has anyone found a solution?

This error looks resolved as with iOS 9.

Video plays beautifully on desktop evergreen browsers and offline on Android devices.

It even plays well on iOS8 safari, but as soon as the user goes and adds it to his home screen, the video no longer plays.

I will give an example here http://bugs.readingplus.com/ios8-video-test/ .

If you are using iOS8, you can play the video, add the URL to your home screen and download it. You will get the controls, but as soon as you touch the playback, you will get the first frame.

I put the page source on Github , or you can just go to the page and view the source.

I missed something, this is my fubared markup, this is just a mistake, did anyone find a job?

As in iOS 8.3, the problem is partially resolved. I confirmed that the video, in the example, now plays when I start from the "Add to Home Screen" link.

The remaining problem is the sound, it is not displayed / played.

It seems that iOS 8.3 fixes this problem. I have a standalone web application that uses an audio element and now it works as expected. FINALLY!

This is great news, can it be confirmed by others? I don’t want to stop and update to 8.3 until I’m sure that the video and audio in the home web clip work in iOS 8.3.
