How to add functionality in iOS Control Center

Question

Using Spotify Radio today and noticing that they have replaced the menu button for "<<" in the Control Center. When you click on it, you get the menu on the right. I worked with the Control Center until the MPNowPlayingInfoCenter class, but this is not mentioned in the docs. Does anyone know how they did this?

This works on iOS7, so (theoretically) this is not an extension.

MPRemoteCommandCenter is what you need. You can set the dislikeCommand , likeCommand and bookmarkCommand properties to perform the necessary actions and override the localizedTitle properties of these commands to change the text. Unfortunately, as you can see in the screenshot, you cannot configure the command icons.
