How to check IIS version on Azure sites?

I cannot find information about IIS in my Azure dashboard. I checked every panel.

This information is not available in your account.

You can simply use the server variable "SERVER_SOFTWARE" anywhere in your code:

ViewBag.Message = Request.ServerVariables["SERVER_SOFTWARE"];

Here is the result on the Azure websites in the data center in Western Europe.

You can see the version of IIS and other server information in Kudu on the Environment page under Server variables.

The variable name is SERVER_SOFTWARE, for example, my web application has SERVER_SOFTWARE=Microsoft-IIS/8.0

To access Kudu, you can go to https://[app-name].scm.azurewebsites.net , or you can find the Advanced Tools blade in the Development Tools section:

Additional tools on the menu from the application service side

IIS version 8.5 .. on my Windows Server 2012 R2

I believe that the version of IIS depends on the version of the family of OS families / servers that you use, for example. This is very unconditional, but I believe that 2008 launches IIS 7, 2012 IIS 8, and 2012 R2 IIS 8.5 .

Probably the easiest way is to deploy the server, RDP in it and search for this path ...
