What are Delphi / AppMethod BindSourceDB application area mappings and how to use them?

I am using Delphi / AppMethod XE6 and adding the Firemonkey Mobile HD form to an empty project.

In the form, I reset the BindSourceDB component and view it in the structure window . There I see the ScopeMappings child property. I can also see the ScopeMappings property in the Object Inspector window, which shows its type TScopeMappings .

Over the course of my life, I CANNOT understand what this property / does, and what ScopeMappings really are.

Everything I can find in the Embarcadero documentation is listed at this URL: http://docwiki.embarcadero.com/Libraries/XE6/en/Data.Bind.DBScope.TBindSourceDB.ScopeMappings

Data.Bind.DBScope.TBindSourceDB.ScopeMappings <h / ">

The ScopeMappings property indicates the collection belonging to it, whose Elements are mappings of areas. ScopeMappings are used to add the name / value of a pair that can be referenced by expressions that reference this component source.

Obviously, this is not very useful.

I searched everywhere on the Internet, including here, on SO and can't find anything. Please, help.
