Can I install Wordwrap in WebStorm? I need to set the default all files must be in wordwraping

Is there any way to set word wrapping for all new / existing files should be in a wrapper.

I need to set the whole file by default in word-wrapping, for example notepadd ++.

Thanks in advance.

Settings / Settings | Editor | General | Using paperbacks in the editor - this option affects all files.

You can disable or enable this option for each file (before it is closed) through View | Active Editor | Using soft wrappers

A later version (compared to the versions available after answering this question) also contains these options in the "Reservoir of the Editor" menu (right-click in the area where line numbers / breakpoints / etc. are indicated).

PS

The settings screen has a very nice feature - a quick search window (upper left corner) - it works wonders. This allows you to quickly narrow down your search to a specific parameter by name (keyword).

You can also use "Search anywhere" ( Shift twice), as well as "Find action" ( Help | Find Action... Ctrl + Shift + A ) to search for individual settings.

Webstorm 9.0.3 Evaluation of the version for Windows 7:

I know that I come here a little late, but if I, like me, you find that there is no option to Use soft wrappers in the editor, "when you look in Settings>Editor> , I just found you can apply" soft packing "to separate files:

  • Open the file,
  • Left-click the left field (where line numbers are indicated),
  • You will see β€œUse soft wrappers” as an option that you can enable.

This is not exactly what I wanted (change settings for all files), but it is something.

Yes it is possible. I have webstorm 2016. Follow these steps.

Step 1:

This step may vary depending on the OS used. Just search for settings. I have a screenshot for Mac.

Step 2:

Double-click on the Editor. Notice that the arrow changes to the down position as shown.

Step 3:

Click the General button and select Use soft wraps in editor .

Step 4:

Select it and click ok.

Settings (Preferences on Mac) | Editor | General | Use soft wrappers in the editor

Although its an old stream, but being updated, how someone might find it useful. In version 9.0.1 you need to select General inside the Editor , and then Use soft wrappers in the editor
