You must have a 32-bit version of java, or perhaps you have both versions of [32-bit 64-bit] java on the same computer.
Make sure you have a 32-bit version, and you must specify the version used by Aptana Studio for this:

1-Go to the apatana folder and find the file AptanaStudio3.ini
"C: \ Users \ [YourUser] \ AppData \ Roaming \ Appcelerator \ Aptana Studio"

2- Add the path of the 32-bit version of Java to AptanaStudio3.ini using notepad

The package arch is 32-bit for Windows only. The 32-bit version of the JDK is required regardless of whether it runs on a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows system. You can download here from the official site .

I got the same error, but was on a 64-bit version of Windows 10, Aptana 3.6.1, with only 64-bit JDKs.

After I downloaded the 32-bit 1.7 JDK, I was able to open and start Aptana normally.

I did not need to modify the .ini file, as suggested by AbuSitta.

I agree that this may be misleading for some if you do not take a more keen look and look at the description of "x86, x64" on the download page.

On Windows, Aptana only works using the 32-bit version of Java (JRE or JDK)
