I use Tinn-R because it allows me to go through my code or just send them to the R window, which I find incredibly useful. The ability to select multiple lines and hit only send meshes well with my workflow habits. I would like to find a similar tool for Python (I'm sure someone will tell me what it is). However, the NPPtoR link looks very interesting, and I will have to try this.
