IPhone Dev: Create Your Own Index

Question

I currently have two problems: I, how about the UITableView index

• I want to change the color of some section tags in the index to show that there are new changes in this section.
• I need to put the index on the left side of the table so that it does not interfere with the disclosure of details. Button

Is there a way to implement this with a standard index? And if not, is this possible with a special index? How could I realize such a thing, and the apple suffers it?

Cannot change the color of index rows. Also, you cannot move the pointer to the left. But you can use TableViev's content offset property for narrow cells so that the index does not interfere with the details button.
