Where can I find some examples of WPF animation?

As a programmer, I’m not an artist or animator, and I can’t show the best features of WPF in my application. Although I have samples for simple animations for buttons such as growth, or when the color fades into something bright when clicked, what I'm looking for is an animation of the window buttons and the window change animation to show the best features of WPF. Normally I would go for more subtle changes, but in a few cases I need something to really demonstrate the benefits of using WPF over WinForms technology.

Can someone point me to some sample buttons and / or panel changes (switching from one panel to another in navigation) that really shows WPF and has this wow factor.

EDIT

Please do not include http://codeproject.com or Microsoft samples, as I have already studied them in detail. In fact, here is a list of WPF sites in my rss reader (Suggestions for other blogs are welcome):

Lester WPF Blog , Ask Dr. WPF , Expression Blend and Design , WPF Wonderland , nerdplusart , Karl On WPF , Windows Presentation Foundation SDK , Josh Smith in WPF , Rob Relyea - Xamlified , Moth .

I want specific examples, thanks ...

Honestly, I think the best way to learn is to use an animation tool. If you have access to Expression Blend, you can use it to learn a lot about how WPF animations are configured in Xaml. There are many nuances for animation, such as weakening keyframes, which are simply hard to understand and get right when breaking into IntelliSense in Visual Studio.

As mentioned earlier, many people have access to Expression Blend and do not understand this. Many college students and some high school students get it for free through DreamSpark . Corporations licensed with MSDN receive it. Startups can also be obtained through the BizSpark program.

Anyway, if you are interested in learning about animation through Expression Blend, these start-up videos on Channel 9 are a good place to start:

Animation Using Expression Blend: How to Create Animations

Animation using Expression Blend: how to start an animation in events

Animation using an expression: How to make an animation follow a path

Finally, I'll leave you with a small teaser to make animations even more fun in the unreleased Blend release. Stay tuned for Mix in March for more information.

PhotoSuru is a cool application with many animations and various graphic effects (it also uses pixel shaders)

Also check out the animation of ripples of water, with raindrops falling into the water:

I am biased, but I think this is a good demonstration of the capabilities of 3D animation in WPF.

You may know about this, but I have not seen the WindowsClient.net list of WPF examples mentioned here.

Family.show is a reference application from the WPF team (with Vertigo).

If you just need storefronts, you should check out the WindowsClient.net WPF Showcase and Tim Sneath WPF Application List .

thirteen23 Blu and Drama are also very good as a showcase, but no source. Although, Drama has amazing list animations.
