Android - What happens when a device is unlocked?

I am trying to understand the intentions that start when the device is unlocked.

For example: say that my activity is started, and press the power button (the screen is off to lock the phone). INTENT.ACTION_SCREEN_OFF starts. The action is paused and the screen goes blank.

Now, when I press the power button again (INTENT.SCREEN_ON starts), the onResume method is called. But the device is not yet unlocked.

What happens when the device is unlocked? Simply put, what are the intentions of the action and the categories?

Additionally

ACTION_USER_PRESENT

Broadcast Action: Dispatched when a user is present after the device wakes up (for example, when the keyboard is gone). (API Lvl 3)

Android SDK 24 added

ACTION_USER_UNLOCKED

Broadcast action: Dispatched when a private store with secret access is unlocked for the target user. This is sent only by registered receivers, not manifest receivers.
