JNI_CreateJavaVM eclipse error on mac os x

Question

I am using mac os x 10.8.2. I installed java 1.7 and then come back since I cannot send iphone applications via xcode. java 1.6 is now installed.

but now I can not start eclipse. it does not open, it gives this warning and closes.

The JVM shared library "/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework" does not contain the JNI_CreateJavaVM symbol.

I am really confused and cannot find a solution. I just want to run eclipse, that's all :( thanks.

Update your Mac. Apple has provided a new Java update that addresses this issue.

If you do not have the /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/Current file, run the following command

cd /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions sudo ln -s /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/A Current

I was able to solve this problem by uninstalling all previously installed versions of Java Java jdk beforehand. Instructions here:

Then install the official Java JDK for Apple. For some reason, the Java download page on support.apple.com came back for me, but through a cached copy of the Google page I found a direct download link, which finally fixed this problem for me:
