Online databases for checking Oracle SQL queries?

I am studying a undergraduate database course.

I would like to know if there are any Internet sites that allow me to make queries against an already built and populated database (with a known schema), so I did not need to install SQL and populate it with the data itself.

I am currently doing some manual exercises in the book that I am here, but I'm a little afraid that maybe I'm wrong, and it’s hard to verify that they are correct without testing them against the “real thing”.

thank

(In our course we use Oracle)

Have you tried SQLZoo ?

You can (for free) install SQL Server 2008 R2 Express Edition and download and install already completed databases (such as AdventureWorks2008) from here . Both settings are straightforward.

If you don’t want to go far, try StackExchange Data Explorer :

ABOUT

Stack Exchange Data Explorer allows you to run arbitrary queries on public Stack Exchange dumps.

It runs fast and supports SQL Server syntax similar to SQL Server.

Give Stack Exchange a Data Explorer .

For Oracle queries, you can register for Oracle Apex , which gives you a pre-populated schema based on the Employees / Departments table

You can easily install MySQL / PostgreSQL / SQL Server Express and get up and running, as well as any test data can be installed on a public server, it will not necessarily remain unchanged between queries, as anyone can access it.

So, just go and install one of the above, in the near future you will be grateful.

Perhaps not quite what you are looking for with SQLZoo Tutorials, it allows you to practice some basic interactions and also allows you to interact with several different SQL engines.

You can try installing WAMP Server . This is due to MySQL and the phpMyAdmin user interface, which can be used to install and test databases. Then you can install the MySQL test employees database.

For very simple queries, you can try SQL queries on the web at W3Schools SQL Try It page - http://www.w3schools.com/sql/sql_tryit.asp

Or you can use the phpMyAdmin online demo at http://demo.phpmyadmin.net/STABLE/?pma_username=root for deeper use.

Oracle Apex provides an online space for creating and executing your sql queries. Create an account in Oracle Apex and then enjoy your personalized table space and schema. This is a free program, and Oracle does not charge anything for it. This is the best way if you do not want to install Oracle on your system and do not want to slow down your system. Another advantage of Oracle Apex is that you have all of your tables and data on the Internet, and you do not need to maintain them, Oracle will do it for you. You can access your database anywhere.
