I have been using VS 2015 for many months now. Whenever I needed to view my changes in Team Explorer using Git as the source control, I would just double-click the file specified in the "Changes" section and it will open the diff view.
However, over the weekend I had to reinstall VS 2015. After that, I found that the double-click action now just opened the file. It may seem small, but it incredibly annoys me.
I installed Community and Enterprise again, and the results were the same. I also tried using the fix, but nothing changed the double-click action to open it as a diff view.
Not only that, but my working computer, currently using VS 2015 Enterprise, has a double click to view diff. I imported all VS settings from this computer to the newly installed computer, but no luck.
This is extremely frustrating. Not only does VS have consistency between installers / versions, it should allow registry fixes to alleviate this problem, it seems to have been used.
