How can I make Eclipse file search not include svn directories?

I would like to search, but exclude all .svn directories from the search. How can i do this?

By the way, I have a Subversive plugin installed in Eclipse, if necessary.

  • Open the project properties.
  • Resource / Resource Filters
  • Click the Add button.
  • Set filter:
    • Filter Type: Exclude All
    • Applies to: Folders
    • x All children (recursive)
    • Leave the selected items in the combobox (Name, .svn ) and enter .svn
    • Click OK

It works fine for me.

I think the easiest way is to create a working set:

  • Open the search dialog box ( Ctrl+h )
  • Change search scope to Working Set
  • Click Choose ...
  • Click New to create a new working set with what you were looking for (alternatively you can Add All ), and then delete the ones you want to filter (.svn dirs).

Hope this helps
