Use ssh from the Windows command line

Question: How to use ssh and scp from the Windows command line?

I remember that in the past I installed a program that allowed me to do this, but now I can’t remember what it was.

Note: I do not want to use putty.

New, revived project site (Win7 compatibility and much more!): Http://sshwindows.sourceforge.net

January 1, 2012

  • OpenSSH version for Windows 5.6p1-2 created !!
  • Happy New Year! As COpSSH started charging, I resurrected this project.
  • Updated all binaries for current releases
  • Added several new DLL support files required by all executable files in the package.
  • Renamed switch.exe to bash.exe to remove the need to modify and compile mkpasswd.exe for each build
  • Please note that there is a very small bug in this release, described in detail in the docs. I am working to fix this, anyone who can write C code, and can help a little, he would really appreciate it.
