Test profile installation failed, SCEP server returns invalid response

One of my users had problems installing the TestFlight application (not Apple TestFlight).

He found an error: "Error installing profile, SCEP server returned an incorrect response."

Error

I advise him to follow the steps listed here: http://help.testflightapp.com/customer/portal/articles/402816-registration-issues

He told me that not a single profile was set in his profiles, and after performing the actions, he still encounters the same error.

I am at a loss as to what to do now, and any advice would be appreciated.

Finally, my testers passed this SCEP error. Hope this works for you too.

Workaround:

  • Open the iOS Settings app, select Safari, and then click Clear Website History and Data.
  • Open the Safari app and go to testflightapp.com
  • Log in to your TestFlight account.
  • On the "Connect this device by setting a profile" screen, click the green "Connect device" button
  • Click Install on the Install Profile screen.
  • If you have an unlock access code on your device, you may be asked to enter it
  • If a SCEP error occurs, click OK
  • Click Cancel on the Set Profile screen.
  • Then you should redirect to TestFlight in Safari using "Device successfully connected!" message

Ok do the following:

1 - remove the test flag TestFlight or the icon on the main screen.

2 - Delete TestFlight Profile

3 - Important (go to Safari in the settings and clear the history and data of the website)

  1. Reboot the device.

  2. Log in to https://testflightapp.com/m/login in Mobile Safari.

  3. Click "Connect device."

Hope this worked for you: D

Bye!

I had the same problem. The Testflight app from the AppStore will not be installed because iOS 8 is required (although we have other iPads with iOS 7.x running the app). An "invalid response" -error occurred while logging in to testflightapp.com on the device and trying to register it as suggested in the help section of testflightapp.com .

I solved this problem by clearing Safari cookies and data (Settings β†’ Safari β†’ Clear Cache), and then restarting the device.

After switching to testflightapp.com, the device is already connected again, and everything works. Hope this helps!

We just saw it yesterday. The problem was the firewall! I turned off Wi-Fi and just connected to my cellular network. Then it worked. If your device is an iPod, just wait until you get home, hope your home Wi-Fi is different from your Wi-Fi work.

It seems like this is often caused by firewall rules. Try using a different wifi / cellular network.

Sometimes I chose to build a program under the "iOS Device" instead of my actual "iPhone" device. When this happened, none of my users was able to download and this error appears.

This is also a common problem when you incorrectly registered your UDID in a developer.apple.com training profile. Double check your training profile profile for your UDID and, if it is incorrect, change it to the correct one. Build, export and download the application again, and everything should be fine.

It happened to me twice. Good luck
