I get the error message “None of the input directories contained the corresponding startup image” in xCode5-iOS7

I am trying to identify startup images. Probably only one image is missing.

I follow the instructions from this site. Create launch images of different sizes for different devices.

So, I have 7 images of the required size. But when I drag them onto the LaonchImages sheet, it needs 8 images ... the one that is missing is called "iPhone Portrait 2x", and according to the details panel, I found its size is 640x960, and I added it.

sill I get an error - and compilation does not work ...

Select your project, go to "Build Settings", find "AppIcon-2" and change it to AppIcon, and everything will be fine.

Select the project file, and then select the target in question. On the General tab in application icons and image launches, use the “Use Asset Category” option to launch the image. enter image description here

My LaunchImage file was deleted and I had to add a new one to my xcassets.

Go to your images. xcassets. If LaunchImage is missing on the left, click the plus button at the bottom and go to the new iOS launcher. enter image description here

In my case, the problem was solved by removing the link to Images.xcassets, and then added to the project again .

I'm not sure what caused the problem, but this may have something to do with the fact that I moved the asset file from one Xcode group to another, which would be strange since the file path remained the same, but that was the only what i did with the file ...

In our target project, we had our Image Set Identifier for the asset catalog . By removing this from the target and instead installing it in our project, it compiled in order.
