Where can I get a list of countries, states and cities?

This probably looks like a duplicate, as there are the same questions.

Unfortunately, all the answers to all these questions are missing one detail: status .

Where can I get a list of countries, states and cities?

For example, I want:

| Sydney | New South Wales | Australia |

or

 | Miami | Florida | United States |

I don't want something like this that excludes the state:

 | Miami | United States |

Is there a place where I can get such data?

I have already tried the following data sources:

But they all rule out the condition .

The UN maintains a list of countries and "states" / regions for economic trade. This database is available here: http://www.unece.org/cefact/locode/welcome.html

geonames.org has api and data dumps in worldwide geographic locations.

Geonames has a lot of location data (including cities and towns), but it seems to have been entered and may not be complete.

Perhaps also try SQL Dumpster , I used this site for these databases, cities, provinces, etc. Unfortunately, not for free, but only a one-time fee.

This may be a side answer, but if you download Virtuemart (Joomla component), it has a table of countries and all associated with all the states that you included in the SQL installation. They are called jos_virtuemart_countries and jos_virtuemart_states . It also includes country codes and 2 country characters. I would attach it to my answer, but I see no way to do this.
