The one you are behind is probably located in the General → Editors → Text Editors ===> Then appearance color options → Current line selection and selection background

In Eclipse Helios: General-> Editors-> Text Editors: color options for appearance. I always use a filter like filter in widows settings to check settings.

Instead of changing each color individually, I decided to run eclipse with the parameter "--launcher.GTK_version 2". This solved the problems with tooltips, selected text and selected elements right away!

I had to spend too much time looking for an answer to this question. Here is an image of the settings from the JavaEE 2019-03 package showing which choice is used to change the background color of the text that you selected with the mouse in the editor. This is completely different from the Incidents that people continue to point to.
