How to make the Visual Studio editor stop scrolling at the bottom of the file?

In Visual Studio Editor when you drag the scroll bar down to the end of the file, all you see is a blank page , as the text scrolls over the top window of the text editor. This makes scrolling to the bottom difficult because you cannot just quickly scroll to the end of the scroll bar, but you must carefully position the cursor so that you can still see your code.

How can I make it so that, like in NotePad, when I press the scroll bar down to the bottom of the file, I see the bottom of the file?

VSCode provides a configuration option for the function you specify. To enable it, go to File → Preferences → User Preferences

On the right side of the editor in settings.json, insert the bottom line at the bottom (before the closing bracket), save and close.

 "editor.scrollBeyondLastLine": false

This will prevent the editor from scrolling past the last line.
