Eclipse: Can you place the cursor on all lines?

In IDEA, you had the opportunity to place the cursor on all lines.

Is this possible in Eclipse?

Eclipse 3.5 should have column mode (what I think you are asking about) - use Alt+Shift+A :

I have not tried this since I am stuck in version 3.4.1. There's a patch that claims to work on 3.4.0 ( http://tkilla.ch/column_mode/ ), but it doesn’t work for my 3.4.1 installation.

If you are referring to the ability to select a group of strings (e.g., all functions), you can use the schema view

From there, you can move / reorder / delete the entire block of text.

If it comes to column mode, see my answer here .
