CrafterCMS: Crafter Engine does not seem to notice changes in the / classes / groovy folder

Question

Crafter Engine does not seem to notice files modified in the folder /classes/groovy. When we modify the groovy file there, it requires a restart of Tomcat to use it. Is this a known issue or design?
