Why does perldoc not work here?

ActiveState Perl V5.22.3 is downloaded (tried V5.24, same result) and I can not start perldoc! perldoc responds with "Invalid -R option."

Here is my command window:

Show current PATH settings and perldoc oddity with this invalid -R option

I have no problem running scripts - just perldoc.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

There is a bug in version 3.27 perldoc. See this post on the ActiveState site for a workaround.

This is confirmed in 5.24.1 and 5.22.3.

C:\> perldoc CGI
Invalid parameter - -R

1: perldoc pod2text. pod2text pod.

pod2text C:\Perl\libCGI.pod

2: perldoc.

perldoc -T CGI

3: 5.22.2, perldoc.
