My question is: how to join my telegram bot to a channel that I am not an administrator of, and did not ask the channel administrator to add my bot to the channel?

Until today, only the creator channel can add to the bot channel (as an administrator or participant), whether public or private. Even other channel administrators cannot add regular membership leave by adding a bot; rather, they can only send messages to the channel. As for joining the bot via the invitation link, the Bot API does not yet have such a method. All such claims about adding a bot to a channel using non-Creator are false.

It was possible to add a bot to a group / channel using only the invitation link. This was accomplished by allowing the bot access to the mtproto methods like messages.importChatInvite for private communications and channels.joinChannel . However, a telegram patched it. However , you can still do this with regular user accounts! Since you are using Python, you can give this a chance. I can confirm that the methods still work on Madeleine Proto.

Another way to “extract data” from multiple feeds would be to listen to those feeds using Junction Bot feeds , also called Multi Feed Edge Bot , or similar. You just need to go to the channel information and share the link to the desired channel with the Junction Bot to automate the process of receiving new messages from one or more channels. There are also other fairly advanced methods described in their FAQ .

Multi Feed Edge Bot also seems to work fine, however you need to follow these steps to add redirection:
