What is the text API in Xcode

Question

Recently, I looked at a section called Text-based API in the Xcode build settings. In Xcode 7.X, this is in the Binding section . But now with Xcode 8.X it separates as another section in the Xcode build settings. I am interested to know what exactly he will do?

From Xcode version 8.0 and above, the text API is in the Build setting, as it has different business logic
