SQL Developer will not show the Connections tab

This way, SQL Developer will not display the connections tab no matter what I do. I tried to go through the “browse” tab and click “connections”, and I also tried to click on the new button. I also tried uninstalling / reinstalling but nothing.

Maybe something simple, but I'm pretty new to this, can anyone direct me or provide any advice? Any help really appreciated :)

I had many other problems with the Application; including script windows, open on the connections tab several times .. and shutting down as much functionality as possible. This is a useful piece of software, but it’s terribly buggy .. Oracle forums do not really help. If you do not want a lecture patronizing that this is your problem ...
