Android app statistics: what does “others” mean in the “Total Installs by User” metric?

In the "Google Play Developer Console" on the "Statistics" tab, I selected "Total installs by user" from the drop-down list. In the bottom panel, I selected “Device” to view “TOTAL USER INSTALLATION BY DEVICE”.

In the results, I see "others" as a category that takes into account a 33.33% install. The same is completely absent in the section "INSTALLATIONS FOR ACTIVE DEVICES FOR DEVICE".

What does "others" mean? If they are mapped to real users who later uninstalled the application, then it will be very interesting, and I will spend effort on finding the root cause.

You can go to the top of the page and click Download and export statistics to CSV. Then you can see different devices.

Some may have some weird name :)

Usually others are generic unregistered devices that run on third-party OS versions. These are mobile phones running on CyanogenMod or Oxygen OS. If you go to the beginning and download the CSV file, you can collect some information about these devices.

Hope this helps.

The number of common settings in this list is grouped by device and sorted by total in descending order. Since there are currently around 6,000 different Android devices, this will be a very long list. Thus, only the top 10 from this list are shown separately, and all the others are summarized under the label "Other".

For example, there are probably also installations on Nexus 5 or Samsung Galaxy Note 7, but each of them has less than 5.56% Micromax Yunique, so they are not explicitly listed, but added to the sum of the others.
